I absolutely loved my trip to Cuba in 2003, a Caribbean island on the cusp of change. A confusing mixture of beauty and decay, Spanish colonial architecture and 1950’s tower blocks. Highly educated and proud inhabitants, telling me stories of the trees that I was photographing at that time for  'The Whisper of a Million Leaves' book. Havana had live music everywhere, full of heart felt emotions, it seemed to be played for their own pleasure not only to entertain tourists. An amazing country visually and for its people, not to mention the time warp cars.
